North Carolina is Expanding Medicaid Coverage

Beginning December 1, 2023, more people can get health coverage through NC Medicaid. People who were not eligible for Medicaid before, may be able to get Medicaid with expansion. Make sure your mailing address and contact information are correct

Update your address and other information for Medicaid with an enhanced ePASS account – without having to call or visit your local Department of Social Services (DSS). Sign up today at epass.nc.gov.

You can also visit or call your local DSS to check your information or report changes. To find your local DSS, go to ncdhhs.gov/localdss

Medicaid recertifications began April 1, 2023. You will get a letter from your local DSS if they need information to complete your recertification. Return the requested information to your local DSS to avoid a gap in your Medicaid coverage.

 

Schedule a ride to your medical appointment

Health plan members can schedule rides to medical appointments through Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services. Learn more about transportation services.

Merger of Trillium, Eastpointe and Sandhills

North Carolina will move from 6 to 4 Local Management Entities/Managed Care Organizations (LME/MCOs) February 1, 2024. Trillium Health Resources will give health care coverage to Eastpointe and Sandhills Center members. Except for the following counties: Partners Health Management will serve Davidson County; Alliance Health will serve Harnett and Vaya Health will serve Rockingham. Members will continue to get care and ongoing treatment from the LME/MCO.

This change will give members better access and health care in the long-term. For more information about the changes and how they may affect you, read the announcement here.
